News: Roane State employees honored

Jala Daniel Darren York Diane Cox

Jala Daniel, Darren York, Diane Cox

Roane State Community College faculty member Jala Daniel and staff members Darren York and Diane Cox have been honored for their work.

Daniel, assistant professor of biology, received the 2015 Sarah Ellen Benroth Award for Outstanding Teaching.

York, coordinator of instructional technology, was named the college’s 2015 administrative staff member of the year.

Cox, office supervisor, was named the 2015 outstanding support staff member.

Roane State is a two-year college providing transfer curricula, career-preparation programs and continuing education. Founded in 1971, the college has campuses in Crossville, Harriman, Huntsville, Jamestown, Knoxville, LaFollette, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge and Wartburg.
