The Radiologic Technology Program at RSCC offers mammography courses for registered radiologic technologists. These courses are intended for technologists who want to update and improve their job skills, want help preparing for the ARRT Mammography Registry Exam, or just want to learn more about mammography. Didactic courses are offered in Fall and Spring. Technologists who do not have access to mammography clinical experience can also sign up for clinical courses. Classes for Roane State’s mammography courses are held in the evening at the Oak Ridge Branch campus.

Technologists taking these courses will be assigned to an RSCC approved site for the semester of their clinical rotation (24 hours per week). No more than ten mammography students will be admitted to each Clinical Education course. Clinical sites will be chosen in consultation with RSCC Radiologic Technology faculty. RSCC will make a reasonable effort to assign mammography students to their preferred RSCC approved sites, but this is not always possible.
Note: These courses are not part of a TBR-approved degree or Certificate program and therefore, are not eligible for federal financial aid.
