Please report suspicious activity or behavior

As students, you are one of the college’s best resources to keep the campus safe. If you hear or see something suspicious, whether in person or on social media, PLEASE report it.

Information is one our best defenses, and chances are you, as a student, may be the first to witness suspicious activity or behavior.

Reporting your suspicion to authorities can be tough. It’s tempting to talk yourself out of it, to explain away what you saw or heard. Please, do not hesitate to report suspicious activity. You are not getting anyone in trouble. Roane State police and local law enforcement will treat your report fairly and professionally.

If it seems suspicious to you, then it’s suspicious. If you SEE something, please SAY something.

Develop your personal protection plan

There is no better expert on your personal safety than you. Please take time to develop your personal protection plan. Know where exits are from the buildings where you take classes. Be mindful of your surroundings.
