Where does the money go?

Your tax-deductible donation to the Roane State Foundation will be used to fund scholarships for men’s basketball players.

How does Roane State currently fund men’s basketball scholarships and why do we need help?

Through college funds and funds raised through a lot of hard work (basketball camps and training high school players in off-hours, selling advertising, running concessions and youth tournaments, etc.), we have four scholarships and one partial to divvy up to our entire team. That’s it. Some players qualify for Pell grants, lottery scholarships, and Tennessee Promise to pay for their education, but international players do not qualify for those grants.

Our goal is to increase the number of athletic scholarships we can provide so that we can recruit more international players and still provide scholarships to deserving athletes who need help.

How does this benefit the basketball program?

Your contribution will help our basketball program in the following ways.
