News: Key named director of Roane State’s Fentress County campus

Tinisha Key

Tinisha Key has been named director of Roane State Community College’s Fentress County campus.

Tinisha, a Fentress County native and longtime business owner in the community, began her duties Aug. 1.

“I am thrilled to help the citizens in our community achieve their collegiate education,” she said.

Tinisha is a Roane State and Tennessee Tech graduate, having achieved a 4.0 GPA at both institutions.

She owned and operated New Century Hair Studio in Clarkrange for five years and has helped run Reed’s Service Center for 13 years. Tinisha also served as assistant women’s basketball coach at Roane State for five years. In that role, she provided tutoring and academic advising to students.

In addition, she interned with the District Attorney General’s Office (13th District) and for attorney Leslie Clark Ledbetter.
