News: Roane State students invited to technology workshop at college’s Campbell County campus

Aug. 2, 2018

Roane State Community College’s Campbell County campus will host a free technology workshop for first-year students on Friday, Aug. 24.

The workshop will be held at 10 a.m. EDT in the first-floor computer lab.

The goal of the workshop is to help students sharpen their basic computer skills and learn how to navigate Roane State’s online systems under the guidance of college faculty and staff.

The majority of the session will focus on familiarizing students with Momentum – the system used for the college’s online courses. Students will have access to generic test accounts that will allow them to explore the system before they arrive for their first day of class.

This workshop is geared toward Tennessee Reconnect and other non-traditional students, but all students are welcome and encouraged to attend.

For more information, please email Tracy Powers (powerstl@roanestate.edu) or Turner Bowling (bowlingt1@roanestate.edu), or call the Campbell county campus at (423) 562-7021.
