An eBay expert will be offering tips on selling items online – particularly on the eBay platform – in a series of weekly classes that will be held on four consecutive Thursday evenings on Roane State Community College’s Oak Ridge campus.
Bret Pallotta, who led a similar class last year in Morgan County, will be the instructor, and the classes will be held in Room 118 of the Goff Building.
Classes will be from 6 until 9 p.m. on Oct. 24, Oct. 31, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14. The cost is $89 per person. The class is both for beginners in online selling as well as those with experience. The instruction will cover everything from deciding what to sell, listing, shipping, crafting policies for your online business, inventory systems, feedback and more.
During the class, students will be personally involved in obtaining and listing at least one item, with the goal to give students hands-on experiences in selling on eBay.
Students will need a notebook for taking notes. A camera will be helpful, and a cellphone camera will work.
Classes will include a broad overview of online selling; a description of items that can be listed and whether to list them as buy-it-now, auction or best offer categories; keeping track of sales records and inventories; and shipping and feedback.
