Classroom Performance: Will be determined by student evaluations and/or documented evidence.
Materials Preparation: Preparation and use of visual aids of exceptional quality; preparation and use of CAI: extensive and meaningful study guides; packages for individual instruction. All syllabi, exams, assignments clearly written and easy to understand; syllabi conforming to standards in the handbook; exams covering appropriate course content; visual aids and handouts judged suitable for enhancing student learning.
Record Keeping/Office Hours: Verify rolls for Admissions; maintaining class attendance records, syllabi and exams in departmental files; turning grades in on time; maintaining posted office hours.

II. INSTITUTIONAL SERVICE (10%)

Activities: Actively sponsoring a student organization; participation including chairing active standing committees; performing non-routine departmental duties such as semester scheduling of classes, compiling departmental exams, ordering special equipment; etc. Attending called committee meetings; advising and recruiting when assigned by Division Chair; performing routine departmental duties such as attending departmental meetings, reviewing texts, attending faculty meetings.
III. COMMUNITY SERVICE (10%)

Activities: Officer of service club, civic organization, or community group; active participant in significant community project; recipient of civic award; speaker to civic groups; formal college representative in community project. Member of service club, etc.

Activities: Publication in a scholarly periodical where topic is related to major field; poems, stories, general essays, etc., distributed regionally or nationally; exhibition of art work, recitals in recognized forums; research resulting in publishable reports judged significant by peers; presenting a paper at a conference; successfully completing graduate or undergraduate course(s) each year; applying for and completing mini-grants; maintaining membership in professional organizations; serving as an officer in one; conducting in-house workshops. Attending professional conferences; publishing articles in lesser periodicals (e.g. newspapers); attending in-house workshops.
