Scholarships

There are two main groups of scholarships at Roane State:

1. RSCC Foundation

There are a variety of scholarships available through the Roane State Foundation. Not all scholarships are based on financial need. There are scholarships available for certain majors, older students, disabled/handicapped students, academic achievement, etc. There may be a scholarship just waiting for you, but you can't be awarded one if you don't apply.

2. External Scholarships

Students are also encouraged to pursue scholarship opportunities outside of Roane State. Sources for information include public libraries, civic groups, and the internet. However, students and parents should be aware that some companies offer to search for scholarships for a fee. These companies should be avoided as there are sufficient free scholarship search possibilities.

Look for updates on the RaiderNet, the RSCC web page, or on your campus to get the most recent listings for additional funding. All applications are available from the Roane County Financial Aid Office.
