Raiders Boys Basketball Camps

2019 Raiders Basketball School

“The stuff you learn is the best instruction your money can buy.”

The Purpose and Philosophy of the Raider Basketball School

Go to a basketball camp sponsored by a large university and you can expect to pay $300-400 for an image. Attend a team camp and you may think that you have taken care of your need for development over the summer. Or, you can come to the Roane State Basketball School and learn things about the game you never knew existed, taught by breaking down perfect technique into small, manageable, and detailed steps.

Who Doesn’t Need to Come...

...anyone who can shoot like Stephen Curry, handle like Chris Paul, drive like Russell Westbrook, and has one-on-one dribble moves like James Harden. (Oh yeah… and anyone who thinks they’re already good enough.) Older players will be separated from younger players to be challenged with more complex skill development.

Why the Emphasis on Offense?

During their developmental years, the best players continually worked on improving their skills. While we admit there’s probably a thing or two we don’t know, what we can do is teach shooting: mechanics (alignment, balance, footwork), dribbling moves, driving footwork, and face-up one-on-one (cheat steps, sweeps and half-fakes) so you can execute them the same way the best players in the world do. All instruction is led by Raiders Head Coach Randy Nesbit and other RSCC coaches and players,

Learn and utilize all of the above-mentioned concepts through individual instruction and 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 competition. Defense is covered in such a way to prepare you to play with an attitude of intensity and pride for your coach in the upcoming season along with a proper stance and footwork, and positioning.
