Fitness for Living Courses

PHED 1380 (Fitness for Living I)

Too busy for a traditional physical education class? Fitness for Living (PHED 1380) lets you get in shape and earn a Physical Education credit on your own time.

After a Mandatory Orientation and Initial Assessment session, you'll participate in the aerobic circuit training program, which utilizes strength training and aerobic conditioning. These supervised visits can be at your convenience during the fitness center hours of operation. Roane State has a fully equipped Fitness Center at the Main Campus in Roane County.

Fitness Center hours for Fall 2015 will be:

Monday - Thursday: 9 am to 6 pm

Friday: 9 am to 2 pm

One Mandatory Orientation and Initial Assessment session is required for all PHED 1380 students. Students are required to attend both portions of the session.

PHED 1390, 1400, & 1410 (Fitness for Living II, III, & IV)

Fitness For Living II, III, and IV are simply continuations of Fitness For Living I. These classes will allow you to take the course multiple times and receive up to 4 separate physical education credits.
