Computed Tomography

The Radiologic Technology Department at RSCC now offers several Computed Tomography courses for registered and registry eligible technologists. These courses are intended for technologists who want to update and improve their job skills, who want help preparing for the ARRT CT Registry Exam, or who just want to learn more about CT. Didactic courses are offered in Fall and Spring. Technologists who do not have access to CT clinical experience can also sign up for clinical courses. Classes for Roane State’s Computed Tomography Courses are held in the evening at the Oak Ridge Branch campus.

Clinical Education courses are intended for Technologists who do not have access to CT experience through their employers. Technologists taking these courses will be assigned to an RSCC approved site for the semester for their clinical rotation (24 hours per week). No more than ten CT students will be admitted to each Clinical Education course. Clinical sites will be chosen in consultation with RSCC Radiologic Technology faculty. RSCC will make a reasonable effort to assign CT students to their preferred RSCC approved sites, but this is not always possible.

Admission Requirements

• Roane State Community College application
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program and certified or certification eligible by ARRT or CNMT. (Documents given to instructor first day of class)
