My apologies for the long delay. We were covered up in Saumur with many visits set up by Maria's cousin, Martine. One of the events was a yearly celebration of American Memorial Day by the veterans of Saumur. They honor an American hero of the First World War buried in Saumur. We attended the ceremony and sang the Star Spangled Banner after the French National Anthem. The French soldier present at the event held their salutes for the American anthem and there were many tears shed. That was but the beginning of our time in the Loire Valley. We are now safely in our hotel in Paris. Pictures and video links will follow. The video will include: Jonathan playing a grand piano in a French Chateau, Suzanne dancing in our van, and many others. Again, my apologies to family and friends for the delays. Now messages from your kids...

Mom, Nat, Michelle and Tim,
Well, we had a great time in Saumur and Martine did a great job as usual setting everything up! It was a thrill to see the Cadre Noir!! Now, we're in Paris and it was so neat to see their faces just light up when they rounded that corner around the museum and there it was... the Eiffel Tower!! We took a ride on the Seine tonight so it was awesome to see Paris in lights!
I'll talk to you soon. Please tell Kerri, Kacie, J.A. and Carolina that I love them and can't wait to see them!
Maria
