New Student Orientation

Welcome to Roane State! The New Student Orientation is an important part in helping you achieve a successful start to your college career and present you with a variety of important topics in an easy and understandable manner. These important topics include financial aid, information on the career and transfer programs we offer, what to expect in the classroom, and more. Roane State’s New Student Orientation’s ultimate goal is for you to leave feeling well prepared and important to our college family.

If you are age 25 or over, you are invited to register for our Adult Student Orientation.

2018 New Student Orientation Schedule

Note: Sign-in will begin approximately 30 minutes before the orientation’s start time. *There will be a special orientation session for parents and/or family members on the dates listed in bold. We highly encourage parents and/or family members to attend with their student or students on these special sessions.* 

June 21st: Cumberland County Campus 8:45 am – 12:45 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room.

June 26th: Oak Ridge Campus 8:45 am - 12:45 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building. 

June 28th: Roane County Campus 8:45 am – 12:45 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

June 28th: Cumberland County Campus 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room. 

July 10th: Oak Ridge Campus 8:45 am - 12:45 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building. 

July 10th: Oak Ridge Campus 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building. 

July 12th: Roane County Campus 8:45 am – 12:45 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

July 17th: Oak Ridge Campus 8:45 am - 12:45 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building.  

July 19th: Roane County Campus 8:45 am – 12:45 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

July 24th: Oak Ridge Campus 8:45 am - 12:45 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building. 

July 26th: Roane County Campus 8:45 am – 12:45 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

July 26th: Roane County Campus 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

July 31st: Cumberland County Campus 10:30 am – 2:30 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room.

August 2nd: Cumberland County Campus 8:45 am – 12:45 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room.

August 9th: Roane County Campus 8:45 am - 12:45 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.
