RSCC Policy AA-12-01; Field Trips

Policy Number: AA-12-01
Subject: Field Trips

Field trips may be planned by any division or faculty. Plans must be discussed with and approved by the academic dean. Field Trip Applications for college approved field trips are to be completed and sent to the academic dean and to the Vice President for Student Learning for approval. The signed form is provided to the faculty member and appropriate division. In addition, official college travel authorization forms must be completed and approved for all overnight and out of service area field trips.

When traveling as a student group, the faculty member must collect and maintain the completed and signed Hold Harmless Agreement for each student or guest before departure. Completed Field Trip Applications and Hold Harmless Agreements should be returned to the faculty member prior to the field trip and kept on file.
