Curious about last year's edition?  Our first edition included poems, stories, artwork, videos, and songs that were created by RSCC  students, faculty, and staff.   You can view the first edition online at www.RoaneStateRascal.org.  The site also gives viewers the option to download a print copy.

What is the "Rascal"?

Michael Hudson and Jessica Millis of the Learning Center have recently taken on the task of re-inventing and re-invigorating the school's once-popular literary magazine.  We've re-named the publication "the Roane State RaScal" because we felt that it was important to choose a term that students at all of Roane State's nine campuses could relate to.  The word "rascal" reflects our perception that effective artists rebel against the status quo and shake things up a little!

The new magazine is published in an online format, enabling us to accept a wider variety of art forms than was possible in the past (i.e. videos, songs, etc.).  Depending on the submissions we receive, we incorporate work from students, faculty, staff, and community members in Roane State's service area.  We realy enjoy showing off the creativity of Roane State's most talented artists!
