Program Outcomes - Certification and Completion

The mission of the Roane State Community College nursing program is to advance the overall purpose and mission of the college by providing a career-oriented educational program in nursing which is responsive to community need, responsible to individuals and accountable to the constituencies which it serves.

The student who successfully completes the Roane State Community College nursing program will demonstrate eight core components of nursing practice. These relate to professional behaviors, communication, assessment, clinical decision making, caring interventions, teaching and learning, collaboration and managing care.
