Class of 2014,
As you graduate from Roane State, Leave Your Mark by giving, just a little bit, for the students who will follow in your footsteps.
Even the smallest donation can make a difference. Donations will be added to the Roane State Foundation’s Finish Line Fund, which supports students in financial need as they work toward graduation day.
As student Melissa Sanders wrote in a thank-you note to her scholarship donors, "When people such as yourselves donate money to make it easier for people like me to go to school, I hope you know of the real impact it makes on our daily lives, like paying for mundane things such as gas, and helping meet those expenses involved in running a home while we are unemployed. Those are real things that keep a lot of adult learners from going to college, so having someone understand that challenge and then generously giving financial aid only helps us be more determined to keep having faith and keep moving forward to our academic goal."
Almost every student who attends Roane State — whether an adult learner such as Melissa or a freshman straight out of high school — has a financial need. Please consider giving any amount to support scholarships for students striving to reach the goal you have achieved.
"Scholarships for me have been everything. Without them, there is no way I could have possibly attended school. ... I would like encourage everyone in the graduating class of 2014 to Leave Your Mark and donate to the Roane State Foundation's Finish Line scholarships."
