Roane State Community College women’s basketball player Shauntae Brown has been named a second team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Brown is the first Roane State player to be selected for an NJCAA All-America team since Angela Fletcher in 1984. Three Roane State players have received honorable mention, most recently Jill Herman in 2012.
Brown, a 5-7 guard from Frankfort High School in Kentucky, averaged 12.8 points, 7.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game this season.
