Roane State CC tops Tusculum College in back-and-forth affair, 7-5

After six lead changes in Wednesday's game at Harriman, TN, Roane State CC finally pulled out a 7-5 win over Tusculum College.

Roane State CC finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. Roane State CC went up for good on an RBI triple by Landon Byron off Jaro, scoring Andrew Henson.

Roane State CC held off Tusculum College, as Tusculum College was unable to overcome a three-run fifth inning deficit.

Tusculum College scored one run in the sixth on. Still, Tusculum College couldn't catch Roane State CC.

Landon paced Roane State CC at the plate. Landon went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs.

Kywnn Rury got the win for Roane State CC. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Jaro ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The top of the first saw Tusculum College take an early lead, 1-0. Andreychuk singled, plating Maloof after a double by Maloof got things started.

It didn't take long for Roane State CC to respond as it scored three runs of its own in the first. Roane State CC scored on a passed ball, an RBI single by David Travis, and an error.

Tusculum College pushed across one run in both the second inning and the sixth. In the second, Tusculum College scored on an error, bringing home Beam.
