Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower our students, faculty, and staff, to
experience the richness of other peoples and nations and to take
advantage of global opportunities for individual growth. We also
consider our mission to welcome international students and to
encourage them to be part of our community. By internationalizing
our campuses and by promoting global interaction, we offer our
students the wisdom and skills to form part of and compete in the
global market.
By building community awareness of global issues and problems, we
ultimately strive to contribute to a better and more peaceful world.
Roane State Community College is a member of the Tennessee
Consortium for International Students (TnCIS).

About the
International Education Program
Roane State Community College strives to provide International
Education opportunities by bringing the World to our students and by
bringing the college and the beauty of the Tennessee mountains to
the World.
The International Education Program offers our Tennessee students,
faculty and staff the opportunity to experience other cultures and
life-styles and, through friendship and knowledge, embrace the
world. Our study-abroad programs are not simply tourist travels: our
experienced faculty is dedicated to true cultural immersion and deep
sociological experiences.
Our International Students Office welcomes international students
and collaborates with Academic deans to offer a wide range of the
highest quality programs.
