I think that this is a great way to get children to enjoy reading. I hope this quilt will give a child the love of reading I had when I was younger. This book was one of my favorites when I was younger and I would read it over and over again. I even remember watching the little movie that was made of it.  I hope that this quilt will inspire someone else to pick up the book and give it a try. I also think this is a great way to put geometry and measurements into use.

By doing this quilt I realized I can do more than I give myself credit for. I learned to sew in a class in high school, but before I was motive to finish this quilt myself I would have never thought I could do it. I figured what skills I once had would have left me since that was so long ago that I learned them and not practiced them. I was surprised to find how easily it came back to me.
