Participating in this quilt project has been an experience. I will never take for granted the time and energy that goes into one baby quilt. I can only imagine quilting adult sized quilts, especially by hand. I am thankful for this experience and grateful to be able to donate this quilt to the B4Books Organization. I can’t express the importance of an education enough because I’ve been blessed to be able to come back to school even though I’m older.
I love children, especially the younger ones. I am thankful to be able to give something to those in need. I have always helped in humanitarian efforts because I just feel that it is the right thing to do. I’ve received help in times of need and thus it is my duty to help others. I wish the very best to the children, who will receive this quilt, and to the people caring for them.
Maybe I can use a similar, helping hand, project with my future students. I want to instill the importance of giving, sharing, and educating in those brilliant minds. I have worked with children most of my life and I never get bored of discovering new things through the eyes of a child.
