The itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the spout again

I enjoyed making my quilt. Although I kind of procrastinated on doing it, it was fun. I always like to make things so this helped me to learn to make one. I used a lot of math when it came to putting all the shapes on there. I enjoyed trying to figure out the math I needed to use to estimate and measure how big my shapes should be and cut them out. I also enjoyed doing it with my mom. She helped me a lot with it, she did all of the quilting, but I observed closely while she was sewing it. I think now all I need is some practice with a sewing machine and I could make one all on my own.
When we were first told that we were making a quilt, I picked “Itsy, Bitsy Spider” because it is one of my daughter’s favorite songs and I didn’t realize that we had to give it away at first. Although I very much wanted to give it to her, I am happy to give it away and I hope that it will make whoever gets it very happy. Now that I know the basics of making a quilt, I am going to make my daughter one similar to it all on my own.
