What We Do Disability Services is responsible for coordinating reasonable accommodations for students in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American Disabilities Act of 1990. Any student who has a disability that would like to request reasonable accommodations must contact Counseling, Career, and Disability Services to self-identify and to provide appropriate and current documentation of the disability from a qualified professional. Participation in disability services is on a voluntary basis, and accommodations are coordinated on a case-by-case basis through the Counseling, Career, and Disability Services staff. Roane State has two full-service Counseling, Career, and Disability Service offices. You may contact the Roane County staff in Dunbar-107 at (865) 882-4546. The Oak Ridge staff in B-102 may be contacted at (865) 481-2003. Services are provided by appointment at other campus locations.
