The Roane State Foundation was founded in 1979 as a separate not-for-profit entity with the purpose of providing financial support for the students and programs of Roane State Community College. The Foundation seeks to enhance community awareness of the college, to secure private contributions and bequests, and to manage monies or properties given to the Foundation. Governed by a volunteer board of directors, the Foundation provides financial support for college activities and scholarships. We strive to make higher education accessible to eight counties and beyond by placing permanent campuses in Roane, Anderson, Cumberland, Knox, Loudon, Campbell, Scott, Fentress, and Morgan Counties.
