This has been a challenging but exciting year.  Our college has been undergoing much restructuring and it has been very busy for all of us.  

This past year we've held several successful fundraisers which have allowed us to continue both the Gayle Mullins Memorial Book Scholarship for our students and the Kathy Snipes Support Staff Book Scholarship for our own support staff attending classes.  In December we had a great silent auction.  Upon returning to campus after the holidays in January we held our first ever Adopt an Assistant Auction with members of our Executive Council kindly giving their time to the highest bidders.  Also during the spring semester we hosted our first ever Jail-a-Thon during Spring Fling and had a great time wiht this event.   

We're looking forward to holding our annual craft fair and bake sale on December 4, 2009 and a silent auction December 1-3.   We are currently accepting donations for the silent auction and registering vendors for the craft fair.

The Support Staff Council proudly pays tribute to those who were fortunate enough to retire this past year.  You have all done a stupendous job and we hope you are enjoying this new chapter of your life!
