Unfortunately, it's pretty easy to accidentally plagiarize while writing a research paper. What exactly is plagiarism? You've plagiarized anytime that you've used information or direct quotes from a source without giving the author credit.
To avoid plagiarism, you'll need to make sure that you understand how to use your sources appropriately; you'll also need to determine the documentation style that your instructor prefers so that you can format your citations correctly.
Make sure that you keep track of all of your sources throughout the research process--that way it will be easy to avoid plagiarism as you write your paper!
