Course Description

A general survey of the major political, social, economic, and cultural developments in Western Civilization from 1715 to the present. Emphasis on the Enlightenment, French Revolution and Napoleon, national unification of Germany and Italy, world wars of the 20th century, Russian Revolution, and post-1945 Europe. HIST 2210 and HIST 2220 can be taken in any order. (Pre- or corequisite: ENGL 1010 or an ACT sub-score of 27 or better in English) F, Sp, Su
