Course Description

This course is a continuation of Radiographic Practicum III and is designed for students to participate in radiographic examinations under approved supervision in the clinical setting. Experience in a variety of procedures will assist students in applying theory and developing specified levels of competence. Students will demonstrate intermediate us of radiographic equipment, along with enhanced development of skills in positioning, patient care, interpersonal communications, image analysis, and radiation safety practices. In addition, continued improvement of critical thinking and problem solving skills for non-routine situations will be highlighted, along with special exams. Competence at this intermediate level will be evaluated and documented for a selected category of exams (360 total clinical hours). F (Prerequisites: All learning support classes, if needed, must be completed prior to enrollment in this course and formal acceptance into the Radiologic Technology Program)
