CHAPTER 1607

If an individual has been receiving Chapter 1606 benefits, we need the following:

1. VA Form 22-1995, Request for change of Program or Place of Training Form. Write on the top, "Chapter 1607"

2. Copy of DD 214

3. If available, copies of any orders for qualifying active duty service

4. Claimant should indicate what date he/she wishes to begin receiving Chapter 1607 benefits.

Please submit documents to the VA Certifying Official at Roane State Community College

If an individual has never used their education benefits before, the following is needed:

1. VA Form 22-1990, Application for Education Benefits. Write on the top of the application, "Chapter 1607"

2. Copy of DD 214

3. If available, copies of any orders for qualifying active duty service

4. Claimant should indicate what date he/she wishes to begin receiving Chapter 1607

5. CRF-Certification Request Form signed by student and academic advisor

6. VA On-line Orientation
