Roane State Community College softball first baseman Kelly Cooper was named first-team all-conference by the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association.
Cooper, a sophomore from Maynardville, hit .400 with nine home runs and 41 RBIS, all team-highs. She also received a National Junior College Athletic Association Marucci Elite Hitter Award, honoring the top hitter in each NJCAA district.
Roane State is a two-year college providing transfer programs, career-preparation programs and continuing education. Founded in 1971, the college has campuses in Crossville, Harriman, Huntsville, Jamestown, Knoxville, LaFollette, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge and Wartburg.
