CLEVELAND, Tenn -- The Roane State men’s basketball team, the eighth seed, will play for the TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII title after a 99-86 win on Monday night over fourth-seeded Dyersburg State.
The Raiders will play Tuesday, March 5 at 4 p.m. against seventh-seeded Cleveland State.
The winner will advance to the NJCAA National Tournament March 18-23 in Hutchinson, Kan.
First-team all conference selection DeMierre Black scored 35 points, and James Jordan added 26 points. After its win over No. 9 seed Volunteer State, Roane State has knocked off top-seeded Walters State and No. 4 Dyersburg State.

The Roane State women’s team dropped its semifinal matchup to top-seeded Walters State 54-45, ending the 11-season tenure for Head Coach Monica Boles, who plans to remain at Roane State as a faculty member.
