Roane State implements phased reopening of Expo Center

Roane State Community College is pleased to announce plans for a phased reopening of its Henry/Stafford East Tennessee Agricultural Exposition Center, located on the Roane County campus in Harriman.

Beginning Wednesday, March 17, 2021, public riding will be offered by reservation only at the outdoor arena. Beginning Thursday, April 1, events will be permitted to resume at all Expo Center facilities, both indoor and outdoor. The most up-to-date bookings will be posted on the online event calendar at roanestate.edu/expo.

All public ride reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Two-hour time slots will be available any day of the week during daylight hours. Consecutive time slots may be reserved for longer rides as they are available.

While the college’s COVID-19 campus guidelines remain in effect, some safety restrictions will apply to public ride reservations, including:

These guidelines allow those coming onto Roane State’s campus to limit exposure to others and help us maintain a safe learning and working environment for our entire campus community.

As part of the reopening, the Expo Center will also resume overnight stall rentals for visitors traveling with horses. These reservations require 24-hour notice and must be made by phone. Online reservations will be available soon. Instructions for day of arrival and departure will be provided at the time of reservation. Instructional signage will also be posted at the site.

To make an online public ride reservation or find out which time slots are open, visit roanestate.edu/publicride. Expo Center staff can also take public ride and stall rental reservations by phone during business hours at (865) 354-3000, extension 4590.
