We invite you to explore the ethical implications and challenges of integrating AI into the classroom. By offering a participant-led format, we aim to create an open dialogue where you can share your experiences, raise questions, and reflect on the ethical considerations surrounding AI tools in teaching and learning. With the growing presence of AI technologies, we have the opportunity to discuss issues such as bias, privacy, equity, and the impact on pedagogy, all while collectively developing strategies for navigating these complexities in their own teaching contexts.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) plays a prominent role in the improvement of undergraduate STEM education at the Nation’s colleges and universities. The NSF ITYC (Innovation in Two-Year College STEM Education) grants are part of the National Science Foundation's efforts to improve undergraduate STEM education at two-year colleges. The program aims to ensure all students have access to innovative and equitable learning opportunities in STEM education and support two-year colleges in leveraging their strengths and fostering innovation across disciplines and departments. The SPICE community builds leadership capacity and facilitates NSF proposal submission among 2-year college STEM faculty by hosting a collaborative online community and will convene a in-person meeting at Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Summer 2025. Join the community to receive updates and get connected with others interested in submitting ITYC grants.
