Roane State is preparing to open the doors of its new Fentress County Higher Education Center in Jamestown.
Roane State’s current local campus in Clarkrange will relocate to the new site along with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Oneida/Huntsville.
The 49,000-square-foot facility will offer associate degrees and certificates in programs from both colleges, focused on educating “job ready” students and preparing them for in-demand professions.

The college broke ground on the project in April 2024 and expects to begin offering classes at the new campus for Fall 2026.
The Tennessee General Assembly approved a $25 million budget for the project in 2022 and the State Building Commission approved funding for the early design phase in December 2023.
The new Fentress County Higher Education Center is located at 823 Old Highway 127 S in Jamestown.
Together, we can expand what’s possible for students in the Fentress County area. Gifts in support of our scholarships ensure we can remove financial barriers for students in need so they can transform their lives through education.
