Student scholarships

Awarded based on a weighted matrix that includes points for Financial Need, Non-Traditional Students (Age 23+), 1st Generation College Student, Military Service, and Time to RSCC degree completion.

Fall 2025 student applications are closed due to an overwhelming response. We cannot accept any new applications at this time. Current applications are being reviewed and recipients of the scholarships will be notified via campus email. If additional funding becomes available, the scholarship application link below will reopen.

• Application for Fall student scholarships is now closed, must be admitted and enrolled at Roane State.
  • Fall scholarships will roll over to Spring as long as student remains eligible and maintains a 2.5 GPA
  • Summer awards are only offered when excess funding is available, check back after Summer registration opens if you intend on taking Summer courses and need assistance. 

*Additional funding is available for those in extraordinary financial need. Please email need@roanestate.edu for assistance. The need team at need@roanestate.edu may have additional resources, and your request for completion funds will be forwarded to the compliance office. 

Employee Grants 

Awarded to assist in student recruitment & retention as well as programmatic efforts. Please inquire with the Compliance Officer for instructions, options, and eligibility. Requests will be presented, reviewed, and approved by the Success & Innovation Committee.
