Roane State Community College

Roane State will host a Family Fun Day and college information event on January 17, 2026, in the Roane County Campus gymnasium. Both events are scheduled to occur simultaneously with the men’s and women’s basketball matchups against Volunteer State.

Family Fun Day begins at 2pm ET along with tipoff of the women’s basketball game. Admission is free and the first 100 people get a ticket for a free hotdog at the concessions counter. Face painting stations will also be set up until 4pm ET when the men’s basketball game begins.

Halftime of the Lady Raiders basketball game will feature a PaintJam performance by world-renowned speed painter Harvey Dunn. The painting performance will be on the gym floor and will be visible from home and visitor side seating.

A college informational event, called “Pop into Roane State,” is also planned for 2-4pm ET. Roane State representatives will be on hand to provide personalized help for current and prospective students as well as free popcorn for anyone who stops by the info table in the gym.

The Roane State recruitment team will assist with financial aid questions (including the FAFSA), steps toward admission and enrollment, academic program information, campus tours, and support for Tennessee Reconnect. No appointment is needed.

Roane State’s flagship Roane County Campus is located at 276 Patton Lane in Harriman. Signage on campus will direct guests where to park and how to access the gym.

Family Fun Day is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board. Pop into Roane State is organized by the college’s recruitment office.
