Roane State’s Oak Ridge Campus Eco Club will host a clothing and toy swap for students once again this semester. The free event is planned for April 17-24, 2026.
The club is already accepting donations of gently used and clean clothes, shoes, hats, bags, scarves, toys, and other accessories appropriate for all ages. Items may be dropped off at the Oak Ridge Campus Library until April 15.
Starting April 17 in the atrium of the Coffey/McNally Building, items will be available as part of the swap. Students who have not already dropped off items in the library may bring clothing or toys to the atrium and leave with new-to-you items.
“Our Eco Club plans this swap each semester as an easy way to recycle unwanted and unused items,” explained associate professor Ashley Galloway. “Students can spruce up their closets or grab new toys for their children without spending any money. It helps support our students while also benefiting the environment.”
Anyone can donate items, but only Roane State students may participate in the swap. All items are first come, first served.
Questions about the event can be directed to the Oak Ridge Campus front desk, staff at the campus library, or emailed to Associate Professor Galloway, gallowayab@roanestate.edu.
