New Student Orientation

Welcome to Roane State! The New Student Orientation is an important part in helping you achieve a successful start to your college career and present you with a variety of important topics in an easy and understandable manner. These important topics include financial aid, information on the career and transfer programs we offer, what to expect in the classroom, and more. Roane State’s New Student Orientation’s ultimate goal is for you to leave feeling well prepared and important to our college family.

Held at the same time your student attends New Student Orientation. Note: only some orientations have a corresponding parent/family event; see registration page.

2019 New Student Orientation Schedule

Note: Sign-in will begin approximately 30 minutes before the orientation’s start time.

June 13th: Cumberland County Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room.

June 18th: Oak Ridge Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building

June 20th: Roane County Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

July 16th: Oak Ridge Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building

July 16th: Cumberland County Campus 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room

July 18th: Roane County Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

July 23rd: Oak Ridge Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building.

July 23rd: Roane County Campus 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building

July 25th: Roane County Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to the Jake and Rubye K. Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building.

July 30th: Oak Ridge Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building

July 30th: Oak Ridge Campus 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm Attendees report to Room 107 in the Goff Building.

August 1st: Cumberland County Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room.

August 6th: Cumberland County Campus 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (Central Time) Attendees report to the Community Room.

August 13th: Roane County Campus 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Attendees report to the O'Brien Theatre in the O'Brien Building.
