Subject: Access to Campus Security Records

The only records housed at Roane State Community College's Department of Public Safety are the records created and maintained for law enforcement purposes. Access to these records is governed by the Tennessee Open Records Act.

Student records that were compiled by the Department of Public Safety for non-law enforcement purposes are housed in the Department of Student Services. These records are classified as confidential and are therefore protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
