Born in the hills of East Tennessee, Katrina Treadway Douglas grew up with a love for the outdoors. Through Providence, she met her husband and they had a son. During the pregnancy, Katrina came up with a song as the seasons passed. Since then, her son's love for nature and enjoyment of reading children's books at bedtime inspired Katrina to publish a book from the song. Katrina's son's name means "Promise" so as the song came together, the title became "Promise Song." Katrina Douglas is a 1999 graduate of Roane State and lives in Middle Tennessee where she works in marketing and advertising.
