Course Description

HUM 1020 introduction to the humanities is designed to introduce students to the humanities using an interdisciplinary approach. The course is a survey beginning with the Enlightenment and continues along the timeline of western history, concluding with the contemporary period. Humanities 1020 focuses upon central concepts and the fundamental nature of philosophy, architecture, literature, music, religion and art through an exploration of the Enlightenment, the Romantic Period, Modernity, and Postmodernism.
