Handgun Carry Permit Policy Information

This Web page provides information related to the new Tennessee law that allows some some full-time faculty and staff with handgun carry permits who have notified authorities to carry their concealed guns on college campuses.

Take the training

Full-time faculty and staff who intend to carry a concealed handgun on campus are strongly encouraged to complete a training course offered by Roane State Police. Please contact Roane State Police Chief Tom Stufano, (865) 882- 4512, stufanotj@roanestate.edu to take the training course.
