General Information

Regents Online students are Roane State students. You must meet all of the same admission requirements as any on-campus student. The only difference is that the classes are being delivered by TBR and there are additional fees.

You do not need to be in the Regent’s Degree program (working toward a Regent’s degree) to take one of the Regent’s classes. Students register for the RODP classes just as they would for an on-campus class.

Cost & Financial Aid

Fees are based on every credit hour.  Please check the current Regents Online Fee Schedule for costs at www.rodp.org.  Financial aid is available. More information about financial aid can be found at Roane State's Financial Aid Office.

Semester Beginning & Ending Dates

Regents Online uses the Common Calendar for Fall and Spring courses. The beginning and ending dates are the same for ROCC and Roane State courses for those semesters. Regents Online uses a 10 week semester in the summer leading to a different start/end date with RSCC. Books

Books for Regents Online courses may be purchased from the Regents Online Bookstore located on the RODP homepage.  The RSCC campus DOES NOT have textbooks for Regents Online courses. Books are usually different for Regents Online courses than for traditional, on-campus courses. You may purchase books by credit card, check or money order.

The Regents Online Bookstore lists ISBN numbers so you may purchase your texts elsewhere. Please note that this is at your own risk.

RODP books can also be charged against your excess Financial Aid.  Complete the RODP Book Voucher below and email it to burket@roanestate.edu.  Book information can be found at www.rodp.org.  The voucher must be filled out completely meaning all book information, a shipping method, new or used selected, and address information on where to ship the books.

Taking Tests & Exams

Proctored testing for Regents Online will be conducted at the Roane County campus in Harriman and on the Oak Ridge Branch Campus in Oak Ridge.

Course Transferability

If the rubrics (i.e. ENGL 1010) are the same as one of our classes, they will transfer the same. If the rubrics are different and you plan to transfer the courses to another TBR institution, please check with the other institution for transferability. If you are planning to transfer to a non-TBR institution, check with that institution in all cases.
