LPNs who qualify for admission and graduate from this program are eligible to apply to take the state examination to become Registered Nurses (RNs). Availability of this program is dependent on the number of qualified applicants each year.
Graduates of the LPN Mobility Program receive the same degree as traditional nursing students.
All prerequisites of the traditional RSCC Nursing Program apply to the LPN Mobility Program, except for the following differences:
- There is no LPN Mobility Program application deadline.
- Qualified LPN's are admitted into the 2nd semester of the Nursing program.
- The number of students admitted into LPN Mobility depends on available space.
- Applicants must have an active Tennessee Practical Nurse license.
- Passing grade on a Challenge by Proficiency exam. Examination scores are valid for 3 years. Candidates who do not enter the program after 3 years will be required to repeat the exam process.
This webpage explains the differences between LPN Mobility and the traditional nursing program. However, all other requirements of the traditional nursing program still applies to LPN Mobility!
