Health Science & Nursing Students: you must be accepted into Roane State before completing an Allied Health Science and Nursing Application.
International Students: if you wish to study in the U.S. on an F1 (Student) visa, please follow these instructions instead.

Opportunities for financial aid or assistanceFAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)This is the initial application used to determine eligibility for grants, loans, work-study and it's used to apply for state lottery scholarship program. And there's no cost to apply! The FAFSA is available for the new academic year beginning on January 1. If you are not required to file taxes, the FAFSA needs to be submitted in January. If you are required to file taxes, you need to submit your FAFSA the day you complete your tax form. It is critical to file your FAFSA as soon as possible to be considered for programs that have limited funds. ScholarshipsVarious opportunities are available for both internal and external scholarships. Go to our Scholarships website for more information. Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship ProgramTennessee has various scholarships funded through the lottery program. For detailed information on the different types of scholarships, criteria required and application process, please visit www.tn.gov/CollegePays. LoansStudent loans are available to assist with education expenses in the form of subsidized and unsubsidized Federal Direct Loans. In addition to completing the FAFSA, Roane State students need to complete an institutional loan application. Deferred Payment PlanAlthough all charges are due and payable in full at the beginning of each term, students in good financial standing at RSCC may defer payment of up to 50% of their fees for registration for the fall and spring semesters. View the Deferred Payment Plan Details Fee WaiversA one-time temporary Financial Aid Fee Waiver is available to first year, first time student loan borrowers whose loan funds are not disbursed until 30 days after classes begin. Tuition DiscountTuition discounts may be available for employees of the State of Tennessee and public school teachers, or their children.
