The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) colleges and universities have joined together in offering Regents Online Campus Collaborative (ROCC), also commonly known as Regents Online Degree Program (RODP). Courses completed in the Regents Online Campus Collaborative are entirely online and are completely transferable among all the participating TBR institutions. Roane State students who take RODP courses receive credit at Roane State Community College. The only difference between a Roane State course and a RODP course is that it may be taught by an instructor from another TBR institution. There is also an additional fee that is applied for RODP courses.
For more information about current course offerings, program offerings, and required books, visit http://www.rodp.org/.
Even though you sign up for both types of courses through Roane State, you log into different sites.
Books for Regents Online courses may be purchased from the Regents Online Bookstore located on the RODP homepage. The RSCC campus DOES NOT have textbooks for Regents Online courses. Books are usually different for Regents Online courses than for traditional, on-campus courses. You may purchase books by credit card, check, or money order.
Yes, RODP can also be charged against your excess Financial Aid. Complete the RODP Book Voucher Form available at the Bursar's Office Website. The voucher must be filled out completely, meaning all book information (shipping method and shipping address, new or used, etc).
No, you are not required to buy your books from the virtual bookstore. The site lists ISBN numbers so you may purchase your texts elsewhere. Please note that this is at your own risk and RODP cannot assist you with textbook errors / returns unless the purchase is through the RODP virtual bookstore.
All RSCC students may enroll in courses offered via RODP delivery. There is an additional charge for each credit hour. Please check the RODP website for the exact amount.
Regents Online uses the Common Calendar for Fall and Spring courses. The beginning and ending dates are the same for ROCC and Roane State courses for those semesters. Regents Online uses a 10 week semester in the summer leading to a different start/end date with RSCC. View the Regents Online Term Calendar for specific dates for each semester.
You will be able to log into your course on the first day of the semester, typically sometime in the afternoon. A specific time the servers will open is listed on the RODP log-in page.
It typically takes 24 to 48 hours for the courses to update in RODP.

RODP charges a per credit hour surcharge fee. What you see on your billing statement is the standard RSCC tuition per credit hour and the additional RODP per credit hour fee.
In RODP courses, you pay for every credit hour. For example, if you have 12 credit hours of courses and add a 3 hour RODP course, you will be charged for 15 credit hours at the standard RSCC fee rate plus the RODP per credit hour fee for 3 hours.
RODP courses have a separate fee schedule than RSCC web courses: Tuition and Fees
If the online course rubrics are the same as one of our classes, they will transfer the same. If the rubrics are different and you plan to transfer the courses to another TBR institution, please check with the other institution for transferability. If you are planning to transfer to a non-TBR institution, check with that institution in all cases. Please contact the Advising Resource Center for further assistance.
The majority of proctored exams for Regents Online will be conducted at Roane County campus in Harriman (Technology Building, Room T-203). and the Oak Ridge Campus (Room B-112).
