The keynote address by Gregg, an assistant professor of education at King University, will begin at 8:50 a.m. It’s titled “Leading Students to Learn,” and will be followed by sessions in classrooms on the second floor of the O’Brien Building.
Gregg’s background includes stints as a first- and second-grade teacher, and she also served as a counselor/teacher in grades 5-8. She’s worked with numerous U.S. Department of Education grant projects at University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Those grants focused on supporting educational goals of low-income students, many of whom are the first family members to enter college.
Her specialties include multicultural education, educational partnerships, grant writing and instructional methods.
