Winter term is considered part of either fall or spring semester. You may choose whichever semester best benefits you. For example, you can select which semester’s GPA you want the course to count toward (fall or spring) and you may be able to use financial aid to pay for it.

Winter Term as part of a Spring semester is best term for most students.

Students are permitted to register for a maximum of four credit hours during Winter Term.
Students assigned to a success coach or to the Student Success Team should contact their coach or email success@roanestate.edu to submit a request to take more than 4 credits during Winter Term.
Students assigned to a faculty advisor or to the Advising Resource Center need to contact their advisor or Dr. Cody Miller, Interim Dean of Student Academic Services, to submit a request to take more than 4 credits during Winter Term.
To view a Winter Term in the Schedule of Classes, select it via the "Choose Term" selection box.
NOTE: Winter Term as part of Spring term will not be published in the schedule until early November.
